Having landed numerous roles in feature films and TV series, Lisa is certainly no stranger to the camera. The Movieville International Film Festival named her Best Actress for her starring role in the movie Deadly Closure. Lisa can be seen in Marley & Me, The Hunted, Fair Haven, and Crowning Jules, as well as on the small screen in hit shows including NBC’s Game Time: Tackling the Past and the Emmy award-winning TV series Homeland on Showtime. Lisa plays the title role Alexis in a pilot for the TV series Alexis Ronan. She has also been cast in another pilot—Brett and Lilly.
Modeling has been a constant throughout Lisa’s career. She started at the young age of 16 and over the years has worked on national commercials, print ads, calendars and magazine covers for a diverse range of brands. Lisa is inherently comfortable in front of the camera and plays well to both the high-end luxury audience as well as the mass consumer. She is currently the brand ambassador for several beauty and skincare products as well as the spokesperson for various fitness and fashion product lines. Lisa believes that true beauty comes from within and is a role model to women of all ages.
Lisa feels most at home as a host. She has a natural way about her that puts guests at ease even before the cameras are rolling. Lisa began her hosting career as a sideline reporter for Friday Night Football. Later, she went on to host the series W – The Women's Show. Lisa is a recurring host on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and a well-known spokesperson for several infomercials as well as a brand ambassador for multiple products in the heath, beauty, fashion and fitness industries. She has interviewed top athletes and is the creator and host of Beyond The Offseason, a series that showcases athletes in a positive light as they give back to their community in the offseason.
Created and hosted by Lisa Varga, Beyond The Offseason is an inspirational series that shines a positive light on athletes as they give their time and hearts to charity and individuals during their offseason. After helping her brother Shane battle and survive two rounds of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Lisa was motivated by the support and love she and her brother received from multiple athletes and was driven to create a unique story-telling platform about sports figures who give back and make a difference. The Beyond The Offseason series was born, it grew and now features current athletes—both professional and college—as well as former players, coaches and sports teams from around the country, who are involved in philanthropy.
